Dirham gallops to victory

Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa of the Bahrain Royal Endurance
Team riding his horse Dirham clinched victory in a French Endurance
Race held in France on Saturday featuring top riders from around the
world.
This was Shaikh Mohammed's ninth endurance win, whose horse Dirham is
trained by Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa and assisted and by Faris
Abdul Rahman Al Saad, which confirmed his status as one of the elite
riders in the world today.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic
Committee President and Bahrain Royal Endurance team leader Shaikh
Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that Shaikh Mohammed's
achievement proves the successful development programmes for Bahrain's
endurance sport.
He also pointed out that Shaikh Mohammed showed great technical
ability, speed and skill as he faced top international riders and
showed his class as he clinched first place.
Shaikh Nasser praised the excellent organisation of the event and
expressed his satisfaction on the Royal Team's participation in the
race and other's during the European season stressing that it gave the
riders an opportunity to compete against the world's best and gain
more experience.
The Royal Team's manager, Dr Khalid Ahmed Hassan, hailed the victory
of Shaikh Mohammed and the team under the guidance of Shaikh Nasser.
Team riders thanked Shaikh Nasser for his continued support and
opportunity to compete in such races and improve their performance
levels and gain more experience.
