Electricity and Water Authority Launches Upgraded Monthly Fixed Discount Calculator

The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has enhanced its monthly fixed discount calculator service, introducing a new digital solution that enables subscribers to quickly and automatically determine the value of their monthly fixed discount before applying for a subscription.

The upgraded service calculates the discount based on a subscriber’s average electricity and water consumption during the previous period and in line with the applicable tariff structure. The initiative is designed to improve service efficiency, provide greater transparency, and enhance the overall customer experience.

As part of the upgrade, the service has been fully digitised and is now available through EWA’s official website and the Tawasul application. Subscribers can access the calculator without the need to visit customer service centres or contact the authority’s call centre.

The development marks the completion of a 100 percent digital transformation of the service, allowing it to be delivered automatically and more efficiently, while supporting the authority’s efforts to expand smart digital services and streamline access for customers.
