Bahrain, Pakistan Discuss Expanding Military Cooperation

Islamabad : Bahrain and Pakistan have discussed ways to strengthen military cooperation and expand defence collaboration during a meeting between senior military officials in Islamabad.

His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, met Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, to review bilateral ties and explore opportunities for closer cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Training at the National Guard, and Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Rabia, Head of the Presidential Court Affairs Division.

During the talks, His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa highlighted the continued growth of Bahrain-Pakistan relations and the strong military partnership between the two countries.

The discussions focused on enhancing coordination, increasing collaboration and exchanging expertise between the armed forces of Bahrain and Pakistan. Both sides also reviewed a range of issues of mutual interest and explored ways to further deepen defence cooperation.
