Shura Youth Committee Highlights Role of Bahraini Youth in National Development

The Youth Affairs Committee of the Shura Council, chaired by Reda Ibrahim Monfaredi, affirmed that Bahraini Youth Day represents an important national occasion to highlight the role of young people in the country’s comprehensive development. The committee noted that Bahraini youth continue to achieve outstanding accomplishments that reflect their awareness and ability to contribute effectively to nation-building. It added that the occasion showcases the Kingdom’s leading model in strategically investing in and empowering youth to build a prosperous future.

On the occasion of Bahraini Youth Day, celebrated annually on March 25, the committee praised the continuous support and forward-looking vision provided to Bahraini youth by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, describing him as the primary supporter of youth development. It also highlighted the ongoing follow-up and strong support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The committee said this comprehensive care has helped establish an advanced national system that empowers youth, develops their skills, expands their creativity, and strengthens their role as active partners in national development.

The committee also commended the significant role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, for leading key initiatives that empower Bahraini youth across various fields. It further praised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the General Sports Authority, for his continued support of youth and sports, helping showcase national talents at regional and international levels and strengthen Bahrain’s position in these sectors.

The committee stressed that Bahraini youth have proven their competence and excellence across different fields through active participation in national and community initiatives, as well as volunteer work, reflecting a strong sense of belonging and responsibility. It also highlighted the role of youth serving in military and security fields, as well as those on the frontlines, who carry out their national duties with dedication to safeguard the country’s security and stability, demonstrating commitment and sacrifice.

The committee emphasized the importance of continuing to develop programs and initiatives targeting youth and strengthening their role in national work. It reaffirmed its support for all efforts aimed at empowering youth, showcasing their talents, and providing opportunities for them to contribute to Bahrain’s development goals.
