Eid Abayas Selling Out Fast

As Eid approaches in Bahrain, the search for the perfect Eid abaya has become increasingly difficult for many women. Tailoring, which is usually a popular option for those wanting a unique design, is now almost impossible. Many tailoring shops actually closed their abaya orders even before the start of Ramadan because their schedules were already fully booked with early requests.
With tailoring no longer available, shoppers have turned to ready-made abayas. However, even these options are becoming limited as the days pass. Abayas are selling quickly, leaving fewer choices for those who waited until the last days of Ramadan.
The situation is not limited to stores only. Several abaya businesses on Instagram have also announced that they are no longer accepting orders for Eid. Many of these online shops reached their order limits early and cannot complete additional pieces before Eid.
Across Bahrain, abaya shops are experiencing heavy crowds, especially in areas like Riffa and Sitra. Popular shopping spots such as Souq Waqif and the Isa Town local Market are also seeing large numbers of shoppers every evening as women search for the right abaya before Eid.
One abaya shop owner in Sitra said the demand this year has been unusually high. “We had to stop taking tailoring orders weeks ago,” he explained. “Right now most customers are asking for ready-made abayas, but even those are selling out quickly.”
