The Indian Fine Arts Society (IFAS), one of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s oldest registered cultural institutions, is kicking off a year of celebration for its five-decade legacy by announcing a major new initiative: “IFAS SUPERSTAR SINGER 2025.”
Established in 1974, IFAS is marking 2025 as the year of “Celebrating 50+ Years of Legacy, Harmony & Culture.”
To honor this milestone, the organization is launching a unique musical competition aimed at showcasing the rich tapestry of local talent within Bahrain’s resident community.
IFAS Honorary President, Mrs. Nirmala Rajan, unveiled the event, which is presented in association with LIVE FM 102.7 and powered by FORD MOTORS. She stated that the competition is designed to continue IFAS’s mission of showcasing art, music, and culture in a new light for the modern age. The IFAS SUPERSTAR SINGER 2025 is open to all Bahrain residents between the ages of 18 and 60.
The primary focus of the competition will be on Semi-Classically inspired Bollywood songs. However, in an effort to showcase ‘Unity in Diversity’, the society is also actively inviting residents to participate by performing Folk songs from different regions of India, as well as captivating Ghazal and Sufi compositions.
This broad scope aims to highlight India’s rich heritage while bringing together artists from various backgrounds.
Registration for the prestigious event is free and is open until October 10, 2025. Attractive prizes are also available for the winners.
The Indian Embassy has designated IFAS to officially represent India at the annual International Music Festival held in Bahrain.
The event is supported by Ambassador Stores, with the Daily Tribune serving as the official Print Partner.
