South Korea could deport stalker who rang BTS star's doorbell 133 times

SEOUL: A stalker who rang BTS member Jungkook’s doorbell 133 times in one visit now faces deportation from South Korea. The 31-year-old Brazilian woman was convicted of stalking the K-pop star, having visited his Seoul home approximately 22 times since December.
Despite police warnings and emergency orders prohibiting her from coming within 100 meters of the residence, she continued to trespass and harass the artist, once even tailing a delivery worker to gain access to the property. She claimed her actions were motivated by ‘love’.
A Seoul district court sentenced the woman to one year in prison, suspended for two years. Due to her persistence, immigration authorities are now moving toward her deportation, unless she launches a successful appeal.
The judge noted a low risk of re-offending but deemed her behavior an extreme level of obsession. This case follows a separate security breach at the singer's home last June.
