Emirates Named Best Long-Haul Airline at 2025 Telegraph Travel Awards

Emirates has once again been crowned the Best Long-Haul Airline at the Telegraph Travel Awards 2025, reaffirming its reputation for excellence in global air travel. The award, voted by over 20,000 readers of The Telegraph, celebrates the airline’s world-class service, comfort, and extensive route network.

The awards ceremony took place at the elegant Pompadour Hotel Café Royal in London. Representing the airline, Helen Breen, Emirates’ Leisure Sales Manager in the UK, accepted the honour on behalf of the team.

This latest recognition adds to a growing list of accolades for the Dubai-based airline. Earlier this month, Emirates was also named 2025’s Most Recommended Global Brand by research firm YouGov—the only airline to feature in the top 10 brands worldwide.

Emirates has been a consistent favourite among long-haul travellers, also winning Best Long-Haul Airline titles in 2023 and 2025. In 2024, the airline was named World’s Best Airline, topping a comprehensive consumer ranking that measured 90 airlines on factors including punctuality, inflight meals, route coverage, and onboard comfort.

Expanding Horizons, Elevating Experiences

In the past year, Emirates has continued to grow and enhance its travel offerings:

  • New destinations launched include Shenzhen, Da Nang, Siem Reap, Damascus, and Hangzhou.

  • The Emirates A350, the airline’s newest aircraft, has begun operating on routes to 10 cities, including Edinburgh, Lyon, and Bologna—with 17 destinations planned by year-end.

  • 61 aircraft have been refurbished under a US$5 billion fleet retrofit program.

  • Business Class passengers can now enjoy a refined onboard dining menu featuring 18 new dishes paired with exclusive champagnes.

  • Emirates Skywards, the airline’s loyalty programme, has expanded benefits through new partnerships with Garuda Indonesia, AEGEAN, Marriott Bonvoy, and Accor’s ALL programme.

Strong Commitment to the UK Market

Emirates remains deeply committed to the UK, operating 133 weekly flights across eight destinations. These include:

  • Six daily A380 flights to London Heathrow

  • Three daily A380 services to Gatwick

  • Twice daily flights to Stansted

  • Three daily A380 flights to Manchester

  • Twice daily service to Birmingham

  • Daily flights to Newcastle

According to Emirates, UK-based flight searches on emirates.com are up 12% year-on-year, with strong interest in long-haul destinations like New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius.

With its renowned multilingual cabin crew, gourmet cuisine inspired by global regions, and the award-winning ice entertainment system featuring over 6,500 channels, Emirates continues to deliver on its promise to let passengers “fly better.”
