AMAIUB students enter semis in MS Imagine Cup

rnAMA International University Bahrain (AMAIUB) team will compete with teams from 13 Arab countries in the Microsoft Imagine Cup Pan-Arab Semi-Finals to be held in Bahrain from May 31 to June 3.In the previous round of the competition, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science students, Adnan Adil, Hasmat Hulla, and Ndim Mohamed Abdulghani, topped other universities in Bahrain with their winning project called ‘My Voice,’ a hi-tech innovation related to the communication of deaf and mute people.Dr. Jaber Jemai, Dean of the College of Computer Studies at AMAIUB said, “Imagine Cup provides students and the youngsters a platform to build technical expertise and maximise creative thinking towards designing applications, games or solutions that are cutting-edge and innovative.” The annual Microsoft Imagine Cup, which is now in its 13th year, is considered as one of the world’s premier student technology competition. It showcases how technology empowers the youth, and enables them to make meaningful contributions. The winning teams from all the Arab countries in three categories - World Citizenship, Innovation, and Game Development - will qualify to the Worldwide Finals of Imagine Cup.
