Housing Finance Partnership Explored

Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi met with Ammar Al Safadi, Chief Executive Officer of the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchanging expertise in housing finance.

During the meeting, Al Romaihi highlighted Bahrain’s experience implementing housing finance programmes, which have significantly accelerated citizens’ access to housing services. She also outlined the Kingdom’s efforts to develop innovative financing solutions that support the housing sector and meet the aspirations of Bahraini families.

The two sides reviewed best practices adopted in Bahrain and Jordan to support the housing sector through strategic partnerships, stressing the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable development goals and expanding access to housing opportunities.

For his part, Al Safadi praised Bahrain’s housing model and the innovative financing solutions offered by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. He expressed the bank’s interest in strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise and knowledge in housing and financial services.

He noted that closer collaboration between the two sides would contribute to enhancing services provided to citizens and supporting ongoing development efforts in both countries.
