The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) convened its first regular meeting of its sixth term, chaired by Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman and members expressed their gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for issuing Order (21) of 2026, which restructured the Council. Members praised Bahrain’s ongoing support for religious observances, particularly the Ashoora season, highlighting the coordinated national efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to ensure its successful organisation. The Council also urged scholars and officials of ma’atems and hussainiyas to preserve the religious spirit of the occasion, maintain social harmony, and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
The Council further congratulated Bahraini pilgrims on the safe completion of Hajj and their return home, while commending the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its efforts in facilitating and successfully managing this year’s pilgrimage season.
