The Ministry of Education has launched a National Professional Training Framework for employees working in early childhood education institutions, marking a new step towards enhancing the quality of the sector and strengthening the skills of those working with young learners.
The framework is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop early childhood education in line with its strategic plan and the goals of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
Director of the Early Childhood Education Licensing and Follow-up Department at the Ministry of Education, Fathiya Ali Eish, said the framework will provide a unified national reference for professional development programmes, helping build educators' capabilities and improve their readiness through internationally recognised practices and standards.
She explained that the framework will guide licensed training institutions in designing and delivering specialised programmes for early childhood education staff, ensuring consistent quality standards and addressing the sector’s professional needs.
The Ministry said adopting the framework represents an important milestone in improving educational practices, raising the professional standards of early childhood educators, and investing in national talent to support the development of future generations.
