Akram’s body to be flown home

The body of Pakistani driver who lost his life in a traffic accident yesterday will be flown back home soon, DT News has learnt.
Speaking to the DT News, Community Welfare Counsellor Pakistan Embassy Maqsood Qadir Shah said that the embassy had always tried to facilitate the transportation of dead body on urgent basis and in this case also there would not be any delay on the part of embassy.
Akram was on duty, going to transport the luggage to some client in his six-wheeler when the accident took place near Alba Roundabout. He hit the front vehicle and was hit by the rear vehicle. He died on the spot while the others, Rashid and his brother in law Imtiaz got serious injuries and were rushed to the BDF Hospital where they are being treated.
Deceased Akram, 35, was working as a driver in a local transport company. He is from Tajowal, a small village in Tehsil Shakargarh of Punjab Pakistan. 12 years ago, he came to Bahrain for the better future of his family.
He had returned to Bahrain only two months ago after spending holidays with his family in Pakistan. He is survived four daughters, the eldest 12 years old, his wife, aged parents, three brothers and two sisters. His two brothers Ashraf and Afzal are in Bahrain.
“Yesterday he came to the room and cooked food and we all ate together, we are finding a hard time believing that he is dead,” his brother Ashraf DT News. He added that he was filled with grief and had no words to express his feelings.
Arif, their relative said that the deceased Akram was the backbone of his family. His aged parents would not be able to bear this. He said that he was worried about the survival of Akram’s widow and small children.
