Bahrain, UK Discuss Strategic Ties in High-Level Call

Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received a phone call today from UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the call, both sides reviewed the strong friendship and strategic partnership between Bahrain and United Kingdom, emphasizing continued efforts to enhance cooperation across political, security, and economic sectors to serve mutual interests.
The ministers also discussed the latest regional developments, including ongoing Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Bahrain, which have resulted in casualties and property damage.
They highlighted the broader impact of these attacks on regional security and international maritime navigation, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz.
Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation within the United Nations Security Council on regional and international issues.
