Israeli Forces Make New Incursion into Syria's Daraa Countryside

Israeli forces reportedly entered the area between Jamlah and Saisoun villages in western Daraa countryside on Thursday, briefly setting up a checkpoint before withdrawing.
Syrian authorities also said Israeli forces shelled Tal Ahmar in eastern Quneitra, following a previous incursion into Ain Zivan, where Israeli troops searched a house.
Israeli incursions into southern Syria have increased in recent months, with Damascus accusing Israel of violating Syrian territory and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Syrian authorities have called for an end to the incursions, stressing the need to respect Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
