Emirates wins Best Airline Worldwide award for 13th consecutive year
Emirates has once again been recognised as one of the world’s leading airlines after winning the prestigious Best Airline Worldwide award at the 2026 Business Traveller Middle East (BTME) Awards.
The Dubai-based carrier also secured two additional honours, being named Best First Class and Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East for its First Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport.
The Business Traveller Middle East Awards are among the region’s most respected travel industry recognitions, celebrating excellence across the aviation and business travel sectors. Winners are selected through nominations and votes from readers of Business Traveller Middle East.
Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim accepted the awards on behalf of the airline.
The latest recognition reflects Emirates’ continued focus on improving passenger experiences both onboard and on the ground. The airline is currently upgrading 219 Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft as part of its major fleet refurbishment programme, while new Airbus A350 deliveries are introducing the latest cabin products and technology across its international network.
The upgraded aircraft and new A350 fleet are now serving more than 70 destinations worldwide, providing passengers with an enhanced and more consistent travel experience across Emirates’ global network of nearly 140 destinations.
Emirates’ First Class service continues to set a benchmark in luxury air travel, featuring private suites, dine-on-demand menus, premium dining experiences, exclusive amenities and personalised services. The airline also extends its premium offerings beyond the aircraft through chauffeur services in nearly 90 destinations, priority airport services and access to Emirates Lounges worldwide.
The airline’s First Class Lounges at Dubai International Airport, which earned the Best Airport Lounge award, offer passengers luxury facilities including à la carte dining, spa treatments, premium shopping, fine wine selections and direct boarding access from selected gates.
Emirates has continued investing in technology and customer-focused services. The airline recently introduced Starlink connectivity onboard, with 36 aircraft already equipped with the high-speed service, allowing passengers to stream, work, browse and stay connected during their journeys.
The airline also launched Comprehensive Travel Cover insurance, offering travellers additional protection, and is set to begin a daily service to Helsinki in October, creating the only year-round direct connection between Finland and the UAE.
