OIC monitor reports 863 incidents in occupied Palestinian territories in one week
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) media observatory says Israeli forces and settlers carried out hundreds of incidents across occupied Palestinian territories over the past week, including killings, arrests, demolitions and reported attacks on religious sites.
Between 19 and 25 May 2026, the OIC Media Observatory on Israeli Crimes Against Palestinians recorded 863 incidents. During the same period, it said 21 Palestinians were killed and 99 others injured.
It also reported that since 7 October 2023, the total number of Palestinians killed has reached 73,955, with 183,514 wounded.
Israeli authorities have not immediately commented on the figures.
Religious sites and tensions in Jerusalem and Hebron
Tensions were reported at key religious sites, including in occupied East Jerusalem.
In the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque, settlers reportedly entered courtyards carrying what they described as a “bread offering” and reached areas near the Dome of the Rock.
At the Dome of the Rock, the observatory said settlers’ presence formed part of a wider pattern of heightened activity at the site.
Separately, occupation forces were reported to have projected the Israeli flag and Hebrew slogans onto the walls of the Ibrahimi Mosque, during a visit by Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
West Bank incursions and arrests
In the occupied West Bank, the report said Israeli forces carried out 302 incursions during the week.
These operations allegedly resulted in one Palestinian being killed, 16 injured, and 137 arrests. Homes and commercial properties were also demolished, according to the observatory.
The Israeli military has previously said its operations in the West Bank are aimed at countering militant activity and maintaining security.
Attacks on religious life and education
The report also cited incidents affecting religious practice and education.
In the town of Beit Furik near Nablus, settlers reportedly prevented Palestinians from performing Friday prayers at a local mosque.
In another incident, settlers allegedly attempted to set fire to a mosque in Kafr Haris.
The OIC observatory also recorded attacks affecting five schools, including the injury of three children and the arrest of six others.
