The coronavirus (COVID-19) took the life of an 85-year-old female citizen in Bahrain yesterday, the Ministry of Health announced, bringing the Kingdom’s total virus-related deaths to 186. The Health Ministry also reported early this morning that out of 9,574 COVID-19 tests conducted yesterday, 357 new cases were detected, including 117 expatriate workers and 240 contacts of active cases.
Their registration brought Bahrain’s overall confirmed COVID-19 cases to 50,076. There were also 362 additional recoveries from the virus yesterday, bringing the total discharged to 46,673. The current active cases went to 3,217, with 32 in critical condition and 63 receiving treatment. The total tests conducted increased to 1,058,509.
