Works Ministry gets 975 requests in Q4

ManamaThe Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning yesterday announced receiving a total of 975 service requests during the fourth quarter of 2017, with authorities managing to resolve 331 of the requests within 10 days. 

The Communications Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Fahad Buallay revealed this in a statement released yesterday. 

Tawasul, the National Suggestion & Complaint system, Buallay said, recorded 641 of the total requests received during the period. 

Most of the requests and complaints were centred around Roads Sector (733), while sanitary sector recorded 158 requests and complaints. 

Issues highlighted paving and maintenance as well as revamp, expansion and construction of roads; construction and maintenance of sewerage networks; construction of stormwater drains and manholes and sewerage networks maintenance. 

November topped with 374 requests. October closely followed with 304 requests and December with 216 requests.

While the majority of the people used Tawasul, the authority also received 276 requests through telephone, 29 through personal visits, 17 on Instagram, five through the radio, three from newspapers and Twitter, and one in written format.
