GPIC launches Press book
Manama : The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) launched the 2016 edition of its “GPIC in the Local Press” book during a ceremony held at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa. The book documents news published about GPIC in the local newspapers.
Editors of local newspapers and publications, journalists and members of GPIC Executive Management were present on the occasion along with the Deputy Chairman of GPIC Labour Union.
Speaking on the occasion, Company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery thanked the print and the broadcast media, especially the Bahrain Press, for covering GPIC’s activities.
He said that GPIC believes in the important role played by media at all levels, not only in publicising the company’s achievements in operations, productivity and profits, but also in highlighting its efforts to serve and support the community.
While commenting about the launch, he said that the latest edition would be a useful reference for economists and researchers as well as those interested in the regional petrochemical industry.
Thanking all those who contributed to the company’s achievements, he called upon the Press to continue to follow the activities of the company.
Dr Jawahery also praised the efforts of the board of directors in drawing up successful strategies and developing appropriate plans to overcome economic challenges and said these had enabled the GPIC to contribute to Bahrain’s success and development.
He said all company employees keenly complied with global systems in quality, environment, occupational health and safety, and information security, which enabled GPIC to obtain top certification.
Speaking about market pressures, Dr Jawahery said this has made everyone more determined to prove their ability to adapt and continue to achieve.
He further affirmed that they would continue to meet the challenges to prove GPIC is the “jewel of companies.”
