Asian arrested with BD72k worth heroin
Manama : An Asian man was arrested after the police recovered heroin worth BD72,000, security authorities announced yesterday.
“Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science General Director Brigadier Abdulrahman Al Sinan confirmed that Anti-Narcotics Directorate had arrested an Asian with 720g of heroin worth BD72,000,” a statement issued by Interior Ministry said.
Investigations revealed that the suspect possessed narcotics and he was arrested at his home after the Public Prosecution issued a warrant based on the evidences collected.
The Interior Ministry stated that besides the narcotics, the police have also confiscated related tools from his residence.
Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution, added the statement.
