Hunainiya housing project contracts distribution begins

Manama : The Ministry of Housing yesterday started to distribute contracts of Hunainiya project units. The move follows the order of Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to distribute 3,000 housing units. 

“Hunainiya project represents one of the most important housing development schemes in the Southern Governorate,” said Housing Minister Basim Alhamer. 

The project features on the Government Action Plan (GAP), which endorsed a scheme to construct 25,000 housing units. It is also in line with the Royal order issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to build 40,000 units. 

The Housing Minister said that Hunainya project and other housing development schemes would contribute to reduce the waiting lists. 

“The distribution of 3,000 units reflects the firm commitment of the government to construct 25,000 units.” 

The Ministry of Housing earlier announced that it would start distributing Hunainiya project units to eligible recipients, taking into account the dates of submitting applications. 

The Directorate of Housing Services announced that it would notify eligible applicants to finalise contracts and financial procedures and receive the keys of their units in due time.
