Royal Police Academy Strengthens Ties with University of Huddersfield
The Royal Police Academy in Bahrain today welcomed Professor Monty Adkins, Vice President for Research and Innovation at the University of Huddersfield, UK, along with Dr. Mustafa Al-Qadi, Director of Research and Innovation Projects at the university. The delegation was received by Lieutenant General Tariq Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security and Chairman of the Academy’s Scientific Council, in the presence of Major General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, Commander of the Royal Police Academy, and Major General Adel Abdullah, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources.
During the meeting, Lieutenant General Al Hassan praised the distinguished partnership between the Royal Police Academy and the University of Huddersfield, highlighting its pivotal role in implementing specialized security programs, workshops, and training courses aimed at developing human resources and enhancing professional performance. He emphasized the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Interior to continuously advance the Ministry’s training and academic institutions, build capacities to address emerging challenges, and strengthen capabilities to combat new forms of crime, organized crime, and cross-border criminal activities with the highest standards of efficiency and professionalism.
The discussion also focused on expanding academic and research collaboration between the Academy and the University of Huddersfield, as well as exploring future plans to enhance the educational system at the Royal Police Academy and ensure the quality of its graduates.
