Allies Rally Behind Saudi Arabia as Houthi Attacks Escalate

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan have scheduled for an urgent high-level meeting under their cooperative defence accord as Houthi strikes on Saudi Arabia escalate. The three countries' foreign ministers condemned the attacks and are looking into ways to help Saudi Arabia.
The Houthis say they launched dozens of missiles and drones at Saudi sites on Thursday. Saudi authorities reported their air defences intercepted six ballistic missiles aiming at Taif and Yanbu, and emergency alerts were issued for Mecca, Jeddah, and Yanbu.
The escalation threatens oil flows from Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, as well as larger disruptions to regional energy networks. Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian attempted to separate Tehran from the Houthi strikes, stating that the group is accountable for its own conduct.
