Hundreds of flights cancelled as coronavirus returns to northeastern China
Hundreds of flights were cancelled in northeastern China on Monday to combat the country’s latest resurgence of the coronavirus, state media reported. A total of 412 flights to and from the port city of Dalian in Liaoning province were cancelled as of Monday morning, the Global Times reported. The cancelled flights comprised close to 80 per cent of the city’s total air traffic. China reported 61 new coronavirus cases on Monday, of which 57 were domestically transmitted, according to health authorities.
