GCC and ASEAN Explore New Economic and Investment Cooperation
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan participated in a joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting reviewed developments in GCC-ASEAN relations and explored opportunities to expand economic, trade, investment and development cooperation.
Discussions also focused on turning existing cooperation into practical projects and initiatives that advance shared interests, while strengthening coordination and consultation on regional and international issues.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Raisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs and General Supervisor of the Ministry’s Agency for Economic and Development Affairs.
