Russian Drone Strike Kills Teenager in Chernihiv, Ukraine Reports

Kyiv : A Russian drone attack on the city of Chernihiv early on April 19 killed a 16-year-old boy and injured four others, local authorities said.
The head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, said the strikes damaged seven private homes, with three completely destroyed by fire. Several public buildings, including an educational institution and a former medical facility, were also hit.
Three women aged 49, 54, and 86 were hospitalized with minor injuries and acute stress reactions, according to the city council.
Ukrainian officials said the attack was part of a wider overnight assault involving hundreds of drones launched from multiple directions. Air defence units reportedly intercepted or suppressed more than 200 drones, while several others struck targets in multiple locations.
The latest strike follows a series of intensified drone attacks on civilian areas in recent days, as the conflict continues to escalate across different regions of Ukraine.
