Drug dealer caught red-handed in Juffair

Manama

A man was captured trying to sell BD2000 worth drugs to an officer in plain clothes, according to court files.

The arrest was made following a secret tip-off received by the Bharaini police, claiming the man was selling drugs. He was caught red-handed after an undercover officer lured him into doing business with him.

He had initially avoided arrest after disappearing in Muharraq alleys when he spotted police officers surveying him. But was eventually captured while dining in a restaurant in Juffair. Anti-drugs officers also unearthed a digital scale and a full bag of the drug shabu as well as BD3200 cash from his home during an inspection. The accused is standing trial before the High Criminal Court.
