GCC-US Ministerial Meeting Opens in Bahrain

Manama: Foreign ministers from Oman and Kuwait arrived in Bahrain on Thursday to participate in a joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United States, as regional leaders gather to discuss key political and security issues.

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, and Kuwait's Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, arrived in Manama with their respective delegations ahead of the talks.

The ministers were received at Bahrain International Airport by Bahrain's Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, along with senior diplomats and officials from the participating countries.

The GCC-US ministerial meeting brings together senior officials from Gulf states and the United States for discussions on regional developments, security cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.

The gathering comes amid heightened attention on regional stability and ongoing diplomatic efforts to address challenges facing the Middle East.
