32nd Al Bareh International Regatta Gets Underway in Bahrain
The 32nd edition of the Al Bareh International Regatta has officially commenced at Bilaj Al Jazayer Beach, bringing together 40 sailors from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. The event will run until June 27.
The opening ceremony was attended by Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Maritime Sports Association, who welcomed the participating delegations and wished them success throughout the competition.
The first day of the regatta featured participant registration and a technical meeting for coaches and team officials. During the session, organisers reviewed the competition format, race schedules, and the technical and organisational regulations governing the three racing categories.
The annual regatta serves as a platform for regional sailors to showcase their skills while promoting maritime sports and strengthening sporting ties among Gulf countries.
