Over 2,000 for Mini Olympics
Manama : More than 2,000 young athletes have so far confirmed their entry for this month’s Fourth School Mini Olympics, organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) from March 16 to 30.
This year’s edition is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, involve schools from across the kingdom competing in 14 sports events - football, basketball, volleyball, handball, table tennis, athletics, cricket, hockey, swimming, water sports, gymnastics, taekwondo, jiu jitsu and karting.
The competitions will take place at three main sports venues, they include three sports gyms at Isa Sports City in Riffa, Bahrain Handball Association in Umm Al Hassam, Al Najma Club gym in Juffair and the Bahrain Football Association grounds in Riffa and Khalifa Sports City, in Isa Town.
