Tamkeen hosts ‘Market Yourself’ event

Tamkeen launched its first youth coaching initiative themed "Market Yourself" to educate Bahraini youths on the basics of self-marketing and to help them increase their chances of finding their desired careers. The initiative provided participants with expert advice on professional curriculum vitae writing, interview preparation and the most effective keys to a successful career that are in line with the ambitions and aspirations of the participants.

The initiative is part of Tamkeen’s Advisory Services, which offers mentoring as well as career and professional guidance to individuals and enterprises. Tamkeen is planning to expand these services in partnership with a number of stakeholders, experts and professionals.

Tamkeen’s Chief Operating Officer Ms. Amal Al Kooheji said: "The event is one of a series of planned initiatives that Tamkeen will organise to provide advice to individuals and enterprises, enabling them to make confident decisions to achieve their goals. This comes as part of Tamkeen’s continued efforts to create a supportive environment that help enterprises and individuals grow and develop in the private sector."

The pilot phase of Tamkeen’s advisory services will be implemented in partnership with specialist and experienced partners such as Global Shapers Manama Hub, Mowgli Foundation, a UK-headquartered mentoring organisation, the Entrepreneurs Organisation, a global peer to peer network of more than 11,000 influential business owners and the Bahrain Business Women Society, the largest network of business women in the Kingdom.

In addition to the expertise provided by partners, some of the advisory services offered through the platform will be provided by some of Tamkeen’s professionally trained and experienced staff.
