Call for Arab unity to end Palestinian plight

Members of the parliamentary delegation to the 28th extraordinary session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) have called for the need to protect the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, continue providing them with the necessary support and reject the continuous violations of the Israeli Occupation Forces in the occupied territories.

Shura Council member, Hala Ramzi, expressed her condemnation of the unjustified and excessive use of force by the Israeli occupation forces against civilians in the Gaza Strip, while demanding their just and legitimate rights. She said that such abhorrent practices contravene all norms, traditions and religious principles, stressing the importance of Arab solidarity and cooperation to put an end to such dangerous escalation in the occupied Arab lands.

Member of the Council of Representatives, MP Jamal Dawood, said that supporting the Palestinian issue requires a comprehensive Arab and international action to stop the massacres and grave violations committed by the Zionist authorities.

The delegation affirmed the support of the Kingdom for the Palestinian cause and its brotherly people in obtaining their legitimate rights, according to the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, and based on the two-state solution on the 1967 borders, and all the relevant UN resolutions.
