Three weekly flights to Cairo’s new airport announced
Kuwait Airways has announced the resumption of its scheduled commercial flights from Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 4 to Sphinx International Airport in Cairo, starting May 10, with three flights weekly.
Acting CEO Abdulwahab Al-Shatti said the decision aligns with the airline’s strategy to enhance operational flexibility and meet growing travel demand during the current period of increased passenger traffic.
He noted that Kuwait Airways’ Egypt network already includes Cairo International Airport with two daily flights, Sohag with two weekly flights, in addition to the new Sphinx route.
Al-Shatti added that the airline continues to operate based on carefully planned schedules to ensure operational continuity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service quality. He also emphasized ongoing monitoring of demand trends to add extra flights or increase seat capacity on high-demand routes.
He said the expansion of destinations from Terminal 4 reflects the company’s commitment to improving operational efficiency and enhancing passenger experience, reinforcing its role as a national carrier supporting regional air connectivity.
Kuwait Airways recently expanded its operations in the second phase of its gradual resumption plan, increasing services to 13 destinations, with a total network of 30 destinations.
