Putin Welcomes Slovak PM Fico for Victory Day in Moscow

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin received Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico at the Kremlin. Fico stands out as the only European Union leader to visit Moscow for this year’s scaled-back Victory Day celebrations.
During their meeting, President Putin acknowledged the logistical challenges surrounding the visit, stating, "I know there were some difficulties with your trip to Moscow. But the important thing is that you're here".
The visit highlights a notable diplomatic exception within the EU regarding attendance at Russia’s annual military commemorations.
