MANAMA: The Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF), in collaboration with the Bahrain Heart Saver Group, successfully organized a comprehensive Cardiac Screening and Consultation Camp at its Adliya headquarters today.

The initiative targeted 68 participants, including 48 men and 20 women from the Women’s, Men’s, Youth, and Emerging squads, to ensure their medical fitness for high-performance sports.

Supported by a team of cardiologists from Awali Hospital, Bahrain Specialist Hospital, Al Salam Hospital, Al Maliki Hospital, and the Zahra Khalifa Clinic, the camp provided critical diagnostic tests. Evaluations included 2D Echocardiograms, ECGs, and blood pressure and sugar checks.

The findings were highly encouraging, with the majority of athletes demonstrating excellent cardiac health. BCF leadership emphasized that such programs are essential for strengthening player welfare and promoting preventive healthcare within the sporting community.

This initiative marks a significant step toward the BCF’s vision of a safer, professionally managed cricketing ecosystem in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
