7 horrific roller coasters in the world
If you think roller coasters are fun, think again…
Theme park are now pushing their limits to provide the “adrenaline rush” to the people.
Here are some of the most terrifying rides that you don’t want to get stuck on:
1. Takashiba
Height: 141ft
Speed: 62mph
Location: Fuji-Q Highland theme park, Japan
This roller-coaster in Japan is the world's steepest roller coaster. It takes riders up a 141ft climb before dropping them at a 121° angle. The name is a pun which translates to "high fly car". Probably not as funny as they intended.

Height: 190ft
Speed: 76mph
Location: Six Flags Magic Mountain, California
This is the first 4D roller coaster where riders get spun in, out, in, out and shaken all about as they hurtle down a track at 75mph. You'll be taken up the initial climb backwards and then dropped from 190ft with a nice view though.
3. Giant Canyon Swing
Height: 1300ft
Speed: 50mph
Location: Glenwood Caverns, Colorado, US
This giant swing sits 1300ft above the Colorado river. Maniacs travel from all over the globe to go on the 50mph "ride" – of which photos would be a struggle to even look at. You'll be forced to sign a waiver form before entry in case the five minute experience results in death. Thank goodness for that piece of paper!
4. Wicked Twister
Height: 215ft
Speed: 72mph
Location: Sandusky, Ohio
If you don't like corkscrews, this one's not for you. This winding, twisting, crossing – and quite frankly mind-bending – roller coaster looks like a nightmare. Carriages are set off at 70mph up a 215ft part of the track which screws to…well, nowhere. Riders are then dropped down backwards to really bring in the dizziness. Definitely not for the faint-hearted or those who are breathing – so everyone. Enter this ride at your own risk!
5. Insanity

Speed: 40mph limit
Location: Statosphere, Las Vegas
This ride is such that would make visitors go insane and yet like it! Insanity sits 900ft above the brightly-lit strip. With a maximum spinning speed of 40mph, just a seat separates daredevils from certain death.Yet visitors still seem to love it.
6. SCAD tower vid
Height: 120ft
Speed: 50mph
Location: Tivoli Friheden, Denmark
Here you have the chance to free-fall 40 metres down into a safety net – without a safety harness. The bizarre drop has seen people plunge to the net at 50mph with them relying on gravity to bring them down in one piece. Since it opened, the ride is yet to have any serious injuries but it does warn against anyone with "back problems, heart problems, hypertension, epilepsy, fractures, open wounds and fear of heights or who are intoxicated by alcohol, medicine or other drugs" to avoid it. Another one, not for the faint hearted.
7. Formula Rossa
