Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi Named World’s Best Theme Park

Warner Bros. World Yas Island Abu Dhabi has been named the Best Theme Park in the World at the 2026 Liseberg Applause Award, becoming the first theme park in the Middle East to receive the prestigious international honour.

The award was announced by Miral, which operates and develops major entertainment destinations across Abu Dhabi.

Presented as part of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Honors Event, the Applause Award recognises excellence in theme park management, operations and creative achievement. Since its launch in 1980, only a select number of parks worldwide have received the accolade.

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi said the recognition reflects the dedication and creativity of the teams behind the attraction and supports Abu Dhabi’s vision to strengthen its position as a leading global tourism and entertainment destination.

Developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is the region’s largest indoor theme park and features immersive lands inspired by iconic characters and franchises.

Miral also revealed that the attraction is preparing for a major expansion that will introduce a highly anticipated Harry Potter-themed land alongside new DC-themed rides.

The award further strengthens Yas Island’s growing reputation as one of the world’s top leisure and entertainment destinations.
