UAE delegation takes part in UN-backed urban development forum

On behalf of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei participated in the World Urban Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan. The United Nations Human Settlements Programme organised the event in cooperation with Azerbaijan.
The forum brought together global leaders, mayors, urban planners, and representatives from governments, the private sector, civil society, and international organisations to discuss sustainable urban development, housing, and future city planning challenges.
During the visit, the UAE minister took part in discussions highlighting international cooperation on urban growth and infrastructure development, according to official information.
At the conclusion of the visit, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received Al Mazrouei in Baku.
The meeting was also attended by Mohammed Murad Al Blooshi, the UAE ambassador to Azerbaijan, underscoring ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
