Bahrain immune to terror, says Lebanese Ambassador

Lebanese Embassy chargé d’affaires Ibrahim Assaf reiterated his country’s unwavering support to Bahrain’s leadership and people. “The Kingdom of Bahrain will always remain immune to terrorist acts and subversive attempts to interfere in its internal affairs,” he said last night as he hosted a reception marking his country’s 72nd National Day.

Assaf underlined the growing challenges faced by Lebanon as well as neighbouring states and the world, expressing hope that his country would rise again. He lauded Bahrain for its warm welcome and genuine hospitality, pointing out that the Lebanese expatriates started coming to the Kingdom in the middle of the twentieth century.

The reception was attended by Royal Court Special Envoy Sameera Rajab, Speaker’s Representative MP Khalifa Al Ghanim, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for regional affairs and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), ambassadors, Bahraini citizens and members of the Lebanese expatriate community.
