The Greatest Battle Begins now!

With the latest “Battlefront” released last Tuesday, EA has made the game “Star Wars” fans always wanted to play. Visit iconic locales such as Hoth, Endor and Tatooine. Use legendary weapons like Han Solo’s blaster, Chewbacca’s crossbow or thermal detonators.

Fly TIE Fighters, X-Wings and snow speeders. And depending on the type of match you’re playing, you’ll even have a chance to fly the Millennium Falcon or take on the role of “Star Wars” heroes like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. Or maybe you’d rather embrace your dark side and become Darth Vader, Boba Fett or The Emperor.

If you’re a fan of the films, all the “Star Wars” awesomeness you’ll be able to dive into which will rekindle your passion for the series. “Battlefront” is a title meant to be played with friends and other gamers. This can be an intimidating process for many as hardcore online players can sometimes take the enjoyment out of a title.

In some games, elite players who’ve spent tons of hours learning the details of each map can build an unbeatable opponent.

Not so in this title. “Battlefront” keeps the action fast paced and simple, with basic controls that anyone can learn quickly enough to be a capable combatant.

That’s not to say “Battlefront” doesn’t have layers. Players earn experience points through gameplay, so you can buy Star Cards. These cards allow you to equip new gear and weapons.

However, since there’s a cool down period between uses, players are much less likely to get overwhelmed by a powerful enemy. On certain maps, AI bots also help ease players into the game.

The game presentation in “Star Wars Battlefront” is striking. Almost all of the sights and sounds of the “Star Wars” universe are here with breathtaking detail.

Maps are stunning, with each level offering something that will make your jaw drop.

Draw distances are equally impressive, with combat being waged in the distance so it feels that you’re really on a

battlefield.

Sound quality is also solid, with weapons and ships echoing what you’d hear in the films. The voice acting is a mixed bag but thankfully most of the chatter you hear will be from fellow soldiers.
