ChatGPT is a dynamic artificial intelligence (AI) system that will revolutionize many industries and have a huge influence on employment in Bahrain, despite the fact that there are real privacy concerns regarding the data acquired.

IT experts have suggested that by working together and preparing for the changes brought about by ChatGPT and other AI technologies, we can ensure that the benefits are shared widely and that the negative impacts are minimized.

The world has been experiencing an all-too-rare moment of joy and fear in recent weeks: the arrival of the new AI ChatGPT, which takes pretty much any prompt a user throws at it and produces whatever they want, whether code or text.

With its ability to answer medical questions and provide accurate diagnoses, ChatGPT can help improve the healthcare options available to people, potentially leading to reduced costs and improved access to healthcare services.

Speaking to The Daily Tribune, Salman Zainuddin, CEO of Libra IT Solutions and Marketing Manager at Magneto IT Solutions, said: “Bahrain has future potential for its program, the healthcare sector, and its workforce of virtual assistants." Let’s say it is sometimes surprisingly good to solve questions we are facing in the IT business.

“AI will change the world, not just in Bahrain, and with clear government regulations protecting Bahraini users' data, it will undoubtedly be advantageous for both the people and the government."

"I don't believe there is a negative impact per se; it's simply another tool, and whether someone uses it for good or bad depends on their level of experience." Sajin Hentry, Managing Director of Syskode Technologies, said that the chatbot can be used for programming and data analysis tasks.

It can be trained to think and analyze complex data sets and generate useful outputs. This could be a major asset for businesses in Bahrain, as it could be used to analyze customer data and develop better strategies for their products and services.

“Despite the potential for ChatGPT to displace human workers in certain industries, it is important to note that the use of this technology could also create new types of jobs that require different skills and expertise.

“For example, there may be a need for professionals who are skilled in managing and implementing ChatGPT systems, or those who can integrate the insights generated by these systems into business decision-making.”

Mr. Hentry highlighted that it is possible that the adoption of this technology could lead to the creation of new types of jobs, while also resulting in job losses in certain sectors.

To ensure that the benefits of ChatGPT are shared widely and that the negative impacts are minimized, it will be important for policymakers, employers, and workers to anticipate and adapt to these changes.
