Preacher suspended over violation of sermon guidelines

The General Administration of Sunni Endowments has issued a decision to suspend a preacher from delivering sermons, in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. (23) of 2009.
In a statement, the administration underscored the importance of adhering to the etiquette of religious discourse and refraining from political debate, stressing that such measures are essential to safeguarding societal and national unity while reinforcing the values of Islamic brotherhood.
The administration further affirmed its commitment to preventing any rhetoric that could incite discord. It emphasised that religious discourse must remain aligned with the principles of Islam, which are rooted in wisdom, moderation, and constructive guidance.
