Bahrain’s Human Rights Institution Hosts UK Embassy Delegation

Engineer Ali Ahmed Al-Darazi, President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received a delegation from the United Kingdom Embassy in Bahrain, led by Ms. Fiona Walker Doyle, Deputy UK Ambassador. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Maha Al Shehab, Commissioner for Child Rights, at the NIHR headquarters in Seef.

During the meeting, Ms. Doyle extended her heartfelt congratulations to the NIHR President and Commissioners on their recent royal appointments. She praised their extensive expertise and emphasized the UK Embassy’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination with the NIHR on issues of mutual interest, reinforcing shared values and goals between the two sides.

In response, President Al-Darazi highlighted the strong and ongoing collaboration between the NIHR and the UK Embassy, particularly in promoting and protecting human rights. He stressed the importance of continued coordination and exchange of expertise to support joint initiatives and enhance future cooperation.
