Nine traffic offices to receive reports

Colonel Mohammed bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Deputy  General Director of Traffic, has called upon all drivers to call 199 and provide their details in case of their involvement in minor accidents, and then go to the nearest of the nine traffic accident offices in the five governorates.

The round-the-clock offices are located at Lulu Hypermarket Complex in Hidd (from 10:00 to 23:00) and Budaiya Post Office (7:00 to 14:00), while the offices at the Muharraq Security Complex, Exhibition Centre Police Station, police station in the first roundabout in Hamad Town, East Riffa Police Station, Nabih Saleh Police Station and Um Al Hassam Police Station are open from 7:00 to 22:00.

He said that unfortunately some drivers refuse to go to those offices and wait for the arrival of traffic police.

This would hinder traffic flow and may cause other accidents.

Those offices are part of other services to protect the safety of road users, Colonel Nuaimi added.
