Bahrain Completes Repairs of 71 Homes Damaged by Iranian Attacks

The Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning have announced the completion of repair works on 71 housing units damaged by recent Iranian attacks, carried out under directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and orders from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the government to cover restoration costs.

The announcement was made during a field visit by Minister of Works Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj and Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, marking the completion of the first phase of repairs.

The restored properties include 30 homes in Al Hidd Housing City, 19 in Sitra, and 22 across other areas. Authorities confirmed that all structural, technical, and service-related works were completed in line with approved engineering standards to ensure the homes are fully ready for occupancy.

Officials stated that repair works were carried out in phases, prioritising the most severely affected units. Ongoing coordination between relevant entities continues to support damage assessments, tailored repair solutions, and compensation procedures.

Efforts are also underway to complete repairs on remaining damaged homes, with a focus on maintaining quality and efficiency to enable families to return as soon as possible. In addition to structural restoration, compensation for damaged household contents has been processed through a comprehensive documentation and assessment system.

Families whose homes sustained significant damage were temporarily relocated to fully equipped housing in Salman City, with authorities confirming that homes will be handed back once all works are fully completed.
