BD 7,700 Fraud Lands Worker in Prison

The High Criminal Court of Appeal has upheld a one-year prison sentence for an Asian procurement officer after he was found guilty of embezzlement and document forgery involving company funds.

The court also ordered the confiscation of forged documents, repayment of BD 7,714.750, and ruled that the defendant will be permanently deported from Bahrain after serving his sentence.

According to lawyers Zahra Al Jassar and Samraa Abdulrahim, the man abused his position at a factory in Muharraq Governorate by creating fake invoices and submitting them for payment through the company’s financial system.

Investigations showed that between January 2024 and April 2025, he generated and processed falsified invoices using his work credentials, passing them to accounting as legitimate documents.
