HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Meets Newly Appointed Gulf CDC CEO

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with Colonel Dr Manaf Al Qahtani, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control, at the Secretariat General of the Gulf Health Council at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness congratulated Colonel Dr Al Qahtani on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out his new responsibilities.

HRH highlighted the vital role of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control in enhancing coordination among GCC countries in public health and disease prevention, as well as supporting joint research, policies, and health initiatives.

His Royal Highness also noted that the continued progress of Bahrain’s healthcare sector is driven by the capabilities of its national workforce, whose expertise has gained recognition at both regional and international levels.

Colonel Dr Al Qahtani expressed his appreciation for His Royal Highness’s continued support for national talent across various sectors, emphasizing the importance of creating opportunities that contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s development goals.

The meeting was also attended by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
