A School Under Investigation

Unapproved English Book Sparks Probe Into Private School

A private school is under investigation by the Ministry of Education for curriculum violations following routine monitoring and regulatory oversight.

The Ministry revealed that the school introduced an English-language book containing content that conflicts with the provisions of the Education Law, the Law on Private Educational Institutions, their associated regulations, and established religious and national values.

Authorities instructed the school to immediately halt the use of the curriculum and replace it with one approved by the Ministry.

Although the material in question was not delivered in classrooms, the Ministry emphasized that adopting and distributing unverified content without ensuring compliance with official guidelines is a clear breach of regulations. Schools must review and remove any non-compliant material before implementation.

The Ministry reiterated that private schools, through their boards of directors, are fully accountable for ensuring their curricula maintain integrity in line with approved standards. It warned that serious violations could lead to firm measures, including dismissing the board, appointing a new one, and making administrative changes in accordance with Ministry regulations.
