First Virtual Horse Auction in Bahrain
The Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club is set to organize its annual horse auction in collaboration with “Mazad,” a leading local company under Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company specializing in public and electronic auctions.
The auction will run from Sunday, April 26 at 12 noon until April 28, and will be held virtually for the first time in Bahrain.
Marking its fourth consecutive edition, the annual horse auction is part of a series of development initiatives launched under the Supreme Council of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court. These efforts aim to keep pace with the latest advancements in the sport by integrating modern technologies into horse trading and auction systems.
The initiative reflects the club’s commitment to supporting stable owners and breeders by providing opportunities to acquire new horses and enhance the diversity and quality of existing stables. This, in turn, contributes to raising competitiveness and advancing horse racing standards in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The auction also comes under a cooperation agreement between the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club and “Mazad,” aimed at strengthening transparency and marketing in the sector. This year’s edition introduces an innovative experience as Bahrain’s first fully virtual horse auction, supported by digital transformation technologies provided by “Mazad.”
Participation in the auction will be open to horse owners, enthusiasts, and the public through the “Mazad” mobile application. The final list of horses available for bidding has also been published on the company’s official website.
